Welcome back to the Phat Daily Column. Today, I'm very short on time, so I'll start out with my Slamboree predictions, and go from there. I feel that this pay per view could have worth something, but that was all shot down with David Arquette. Yes, the man who was Dewey in the Scream series and the man who does those crazy 1-800-Call-ATT commercials. Who would have ever thought he would have been such a pain in wrestling? I certainly didn't. On to the PDC.

WCW

Shawn Stasiak vs. Curt Hennig
As poorly as this match was built up, it might be decent to watch. Both are solid workers, when they want to be, and there is a little bit of hatred between the two here. I like how WCW built this match up by having Shawn Stasiak shoot free throws. Real nice. Really makes me want to jump up and down. Yes, I know Mr. Perfect did those skits back in the day, but for those of you who are newer fans, they wouldn't have a clue. Oh God, I'll flip a coin on this one.
Tito's Pick: Shawn Stasiak

Mike Awesome vs. Chris Kanyon
Match of the night. These two will certainly put on a spectacular match because they are both agile, skilled, and put intensity in their matches. Awesome can usually work well with other wrestlers to make them look good, and what better wrestler to work with than Chris Kanyon. I'm thinking that Kanyon will get this win just to keep Mike Awesome "in check" behind the scenes. Can't let his ego get out of hand, even if it wouldn't happen anyway.
Tito's Pick: Chris Kanyon

Terry Funk vs. Norman Smiley and a Mystery Partner
If it's anything like the crap on Monday Night with the mascot, call the cable company and get your money back. Whether it's Ralphus or some other freak, it's going to be lame. Norman Smiley was used great by Russo the first time around, but wasted the second time around. That's a damn shame, because WCW crowds love him! I'm thinking that Funk will escape this one with a win.
Tito's Pick: Terry Funk

Chris Candido vs. The Artist
This match will determine how smart Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff really are. Should they go with the Artist, who gets no crowd responce and has weak wrestling ability, or should they go with Chris Candido who COULD get crowd response and has lots of ability. Plain and simple: if they have the Artist win, they don't know what they are doing backstage.
Tito's Pick: Chris Candido

Buff Bagwell vs. Lex Luger
I REFUSE TO CALL HIM THE TOTAL PACKAGE!!!
Oh Joy, I can just hear the repetition in this match. I can remember Lex Luger putting over Buff at a pay per view like 2 years ago, and then the next night on Nitro, Lex beat him back! Nice way to kill the heat. This one is a tough one to choose, since for one, Luger is a marked man by Russo in the storylines, and two, it's hard to say where Buff's career is going in WCW. Umm, I'll pick Luger just for the heck of it.
Tito's Pick: Lex Luger

Shane Douglas vs. Ric Flair
Since Flair is the #1 contender for the Great American Bash, it's only fitting that Flair will walk out of this one the winner. Of course, Shane could win this one, and if Flair wins the World Title for the 15th time, Shane would be an instant contender. But I don't see Flair winning next month, so Flair will win here for good measure. At least that's what I'm thinking...
Tito's Pick: Ric Flair

Scott Steiner vs. Hugh Morris
This match was made because Booker T was injured a couple of Thunders ago by the powerbomb of Mike Awesome. Also, this match was made because Hugh Morris somehow pinned Scott Steiner in a booking move that I call ridiculous. Why this garbage is even here just makes me mad. If Hugh wins this match, it's a good excuse to stop watching. He has a good chance to win since WCW.com labeled the match a "NON Title Match". Oh dear lord.
Tito's Pick: Scott Steiner

Sting vs. Vampiro
Another hard one to call, and I bet WCW isn't too happy with the way this feud struggles to get attention. To think about it, this is the most built up feud around, and has had the most time too building it up. I'm thinking that Sting will put him over, but then again, I don't think Vampiro could be trusted with the elevation since he could be gone tomorrow. Damn hard one to call.
Tito's Pick: Vampiro

Billy Kidman vs. Hulk Hogan
I'm predicting that Hogan will win this one to keep his storyline alive, and I really hope Hogan's new work ethic keeps up. For the past month, he's worked harder in the ring than he ever has. He's on the shows giving his all, and he's willing to work with Russo and the younger guys now too. I really hope that keeps up because it's actually fun to watch him now.
Tito's Pick: Hulk Hogan

Jeff Jarrett vs. Diamond Dallas Page vs. David Arquette in the triple cage match
I remember being pumped up when they announced that DDP would be fighting Jeff Jarrett in the triple cage like the one in "Ready to Rumble". Two of WCW's harder workers(even though I don't like Jarrett) will put on a spectacular match on the triple cage, right? WRONG! All of the heat for this match was murdered when Russo made his worst decision ever: to put the World title on Arquette. This is ridiculous, and it's even worse with Arquette in this match. Now two solid workers have a non wrestler to contend with instead of concentrating on themselves. Shame on you WCW for even putting Arquette in this match, let alone making him come in as the World champion. *Tito points finger of shame at WCW* You'll see the low buy rate on this one. I predict that Jeff Jarrett will win this so that WCW can attempt to make him a credible champion.
Tito's Pick: Double J Jeff Jarrett

WWF

-Last night at WWF Insurrextion, the British Bulldog came back and defeated Crash Holly to become the NEW hardcore champion. Funny, as I remember one of his first matches when he came back to the WWF, and that was winning the Hardcore title and then giving it to Al Snow. So techically, he's been the Hardcore champ this whole time! I'm sure Crash will win it back tomorrow night in the parking lot or something.

Speaking of Insurrextion, Mike Franey did some spectacular Match by Match results from it, live last night. His whole report can by read by Clicking Here!
