Welcome to yet another edition of the Phat Daily Column. Well, yesterday, I got lots of hatemail concerning Hogan. I ripped on him pretty good, and many readers voiced their opinions, which is ok. Just keep in mind that this column is OPINIONATED, and it's coming straight from my thoughts of feelings. I'll tell you what Hogan fans. If Hogan as champ helps Nitro get better ratings than RAW, I promise I'll eat my words. That's a guarantee, but Hogan must win the ratings for Nitro, if he's so great. That's the deal, and on to the Phat Daily Column.

WWF

-The recent word around the WWF is that the Godfather's contract is coming up very soon. The date has been said to be August 3rd, I do believe. The WWF will probably resign the Godfather, fitting that he's very over with the fans. This signing is a no brainer by the WWF, so he will most likely come back to the WWF. It would be funny to see him make the jump to WCW, since the pimp gimmick is the only thing that gets him over. I doubt Uncle Ted would like having a pimp wrestler in WCW, but it seems like WCW doesn't care what they do anymore, so they could use him. I doubt Godfather will go anywhere, because, from what I hear, he's very happy in the WWF.

-Good old Dustin Runnels, a.k.a. Goldust, has been released by the WWF. I'm not sure why, but he is officially released, and he could be heading to WCW. I hope he wasn't released as a result of his back injury. That can't be good for the WWF however, as his wife, Terri Runnels, is a major part of PMS. Without her, it would really affect the group, as she is the biggest draw/turn on for the group. Don't expect Dustin to wrestle, if he's a part of WCW. His back is really bothering him, so he can't wrestle yet. I wonder if he'll go to WCW and shoot about his WWF angles. Hmm.

-Good old Jesse Ventura is getting paid $100,000 for his lovely Summerslam appearance, in which he will ref the main event. He's only doing it for $100,000? He could probably get more, but however much he gets for this event, his political career is becoming a mockery, not that it wasn't before. I'm firmly behind my opinion that he should be at a WWF event, since the WWF recently has adult themes and controversial angles. The press, and even some political officials hate the WWF, therefore, this event will equal bad publicity for Ventura. Let's see what this event does to any future positions he tries to get elected to.

WCW

-This Nitro, you can expect a Sting vs. Ric Flair match for control of WCW. Hey, didn't we see some kind of control match at a recent King of the Ring? Oh wait, that's another federation. My bad. Anyways, you have to recall what Sting vs. Ric Flair did for the ratings last time they fought. The last match was spectacular, and it almost tied RAW during that 15 minute interval. The only other match coming close, was Sting vs. DDP, where Sting won the title. Hey, that proves that Sting equals ratings. Anyways, this match will probably be a mid card match, like every Sting match that gets ratings. We will probably see a match with Hogan, Nash, or Macho in the main event. Joy.

-Also at Nitro next week, we can expect Insane Clown Posse(who I really love, right? ha) and the badboy himself, Dennis Rodman. It's very hard to say what WCW will use Dennis Rodman this Monday, as it's very uncertain if he will pair up with Hogan again. Some suggest that he'll be a part of the cool Team Savage. Hey, I know, WCW could make him the hummer driver. Yeah, they probably will fitting how they just dropped that angle they kept hyping. Nah, Rodman will probably be there to team up with a heel to make a "high profile" tag team match at Road Wild. I will say this though, Rodman is the best celebrity to try to wrestle. Watch the Bash at the Beach where he teamed with Hogan to fight the Giant and Luger. That's a very good match.

-It's very unknown if the "Franchise" Shane Douglas is with WCW. Everyone and their mother keeps insisting that Shane Douglas is a part of WCW, but everyweek he's supposed to show up on Nitro, he doesn't! That proves his contract status is unknown with WCW, because WCW never holds a wrestler back on a debut. They love to throw out their new goods whenever they get them in order to grab ratings. A good example was Rena Mero. WCW obviously had some kind of early agreement with her, so they put her in the crowd at a Nitro show in order to get ratings. They aren't very patient.

@That's all for today. I'll be back tomorrow with yet another edition of the Phat Daily Column. Until then, just chill...till the next episode! Thanks for reading. This is Mr. Tito, no funded hardworking daily columnist, signing off!
