Welcome everybody, to the one and only Phat Daily Column. Monday Night just went by, and it's time to get the gradebook out. All of this and more, as I'm very strapped for time this morning, so on to the PDC.

Note: Again, I'm very behind on e-mails.

Monday Night Impressions

WCW Nitro

My God, WCW only has the Total Package and Sid Vicious left as main eventers. Tonight, they had a lot of holes to fill in the roster, and when you consider that, it was a good show. Sid, once again, showed how far he's changed in this business when he let Jarrett pin him in the main event. Flair and Funk feuding helped bringing back the Flair vs. Funk feud in 1989. In fact, a good friend of mine is letting me borrow Wrestlewar 89 where Terry Funk attacked Ric Flair after his hard fought match vs. Ricky Steamboat. Classic stuff!

However, there was a long Flair interview which had me gringing. I hate those interviews that make no sense and never accomplish anything till the end. Also in the night, I loved how the New Harlem Heat was taking Booker's music and the "T" in his name away from him. I laughed for a while when I heard the new music that they gave him. Brian Knobbs and Fit Finley feud? Lame. Lash Laroux looks to be the new Cruiserweight champ in my opinion. I'd love to go down to the ring and shave those damn sideburns though. I hate when he points to them. WCW tag titles are still a joke, but the match tonight between Mamalukes and Flair/Crowbar wasn't bad. WCW still needs to make Crowbar a commentator. Hey, they made Mark Madden one, so why not?

Kidman vs. Wall!! JOY!!! That's enough to motivate me....to turn the channel. Vampiro made the save too. Hey, I guess Kidman's US title shot is now off since Jarrett is getting a world title shot. Oh well, that title is worthless anyway. I wish Kidman would go back to the Cruiserweight division, where he's truly loved. Although Norman is funny at times, it's getting very confusing who he's feuding with. One minute it's with the hardcore posers, then with 3 count, and then with Demon. DDP equals Marc Mero. But this time, Kimberly, who is playing the role as Sable, was cheering DDP on to hurt Disco.

Last Word: Well, considering that WCW had a limited roster, they didn't do a bad job. If this was a normal night, I'd rip this show hard, but I understand that they are in a period of turmoil, and things take time to work themselves out. Once WCW gets their talent back, they should be much better. Taking that into account, Nitro gets a

C+

for this week's show. I predict a 3.0 in the second hour vs. RAW just because of Flair.

WWF

The Fab 4 showed up, but with Mick Foley bringing them in. I guess Vince doesn't need to come out just yet. I'm glad that they've finally signed with the WWF, and I'm hoping that they are very patient with their early WWF careers. I love this whole Dudley feud. It finally gives them a chance to showcase some of their talent, and draw heat at the same time. Damn, they drilled the Hardy's through the tables. Acolytes are now hired guns, eh? Buh Buh was really getting on the Acolytes to do their job that he payed them for. I gotta say, Big Show, new haircut and all, destroyed those punks that he unfortunately had to wrestle tonight.

Oh my, Tazz nailed the Rock on RAW. Looks like we're going to see them on Smackdown, and Tazz will do the JOB. I'm still baffled by how someone can lose by getting hit with a hesitated elbow. Hey, X-Pac and Jericho put up a decent match. They've struggled before. Damn non-title matches! Tori doesn't look too good with X-Pac though. My God, Harvey Whippleman is the new Woman's champ. What a joke!! Of course, that title was never meant to be great anyway, as the likes idiots like Sable have held it. The whole Viscera and the Hollys angle is messed up.

Big announcement coming from WWF NY Thursday? Hmm. I still want to know where Kane is, because he never showed for his match. Maybe one day, he'll get a clean victory, which he deserves, over Triple H. Kane loses to him all the damn time.

Last Word: Not a bad show, but a few loose ends here and there that could be corrected. Now that the WWF has the WCW 4, you know, REAL PERFORMERS, then maybe some of the guys who I discussed going to the Jakked/Heat tour can finally go there. The WWF roster is padded again, so there's no need to put underachieving jobbers on the card anymore. RAW gets a

B

this week. They will probably get something like a 6.3 in head to head action.

Overall, not a bad night of wrestling, but I've seen better days...

Other Wrestling Stuff

-Ewww, ECW on TNN got a 1.0 in the ratings this week. That's ugly, and it shows that ECW isn't on top of the world yet, as they keep thinking that with some 1.2 or 1.3 ratings. This shows that they need some more work on their TNN show. This week, I thought, that the show had many commercial interruptions that would encourage you to change the channel. They did it during matches too, and they didn't announce that they needed commercial breaks, they just did it. I guess this week is more like a wake up call in that ECW still needs to do better. Of course, now, they must do it without Rob Van Dam, who is out with an ankle injury.

-The Undertaker will have surgery later today on his torn pectoral muscle, which should keep him out 4 months. Mark my words folks, if this whole injury talk is a swerve, I swear that I'd fail whatever show he comes back on healthy. I just hate when federations work injuries. Don't they know that fans are actually concerned about their wrestlers? I suppose they don't because this is abused all the damn time. That's why I said it, to somewhat protest it because it's garbage. That's all.

-My God, the whole New World Order is hurt! Sure, Jeff Jarrett said he's wrestling Sid at the pay per view, but he'll wrestle limited. The post concussion syndrome is still bothering him. It must be really bothering the Hitman, because we haven't seen him in weeks! Nash hurt his ankle, by the way, slipping on ice to get to his car? Talk about clumsy. I don't think Big Poppa Pump will ever wrestle again. For one, his back still isn't healed yet, and plus, he's having way too much fun in the back with the ladies. Scott Hall thinks that his knee will heal on its own, without surgery. It's rather odd to have all 5 main members of a supergroup all hurt at once, as in this case. You know what that opens the door for? Oh no, not Hogan coming back to lead the NWO again! Nooooo!

@That's it for today. I'll be back tomorrow with some ratings analysis, and more of the same. I swear, the Sting tape review is coming soon! Just chill till the next episode.

Phat Farm: It's FANTASTIC!!

Take Care, and Thanks for Reading.
