Welcome back to the ONE and ONLY Phat Daily Column. Thanks for reading as always. Well, the ratings are in, not to mention that they were against the Browns vs. Cowboys. Did that football game make a huge difference? Let's find out..on to the PDC.

Head To Head

RAW: 6.35
Nitro: 2.7

-Considering the magnitude of the first Browns exibition game especially vs. the Cowboys, I think wrestling did a great job on ratings Monday Night! Especially RAW. They raised their ratings, and they did come through with a blockbuster show with Jesse The Body returning and Jericho debuting. Now as for WCW. I think RAW was too powerful this week. Nitro put on a decent show, but RAW had much more to attract viewers than resurrecting Hulkamania. Maybe if Nitro did this during a taped show, then maybe a difference would have been made. Whatever the case may be, it will be interesting if the WWF can keep up with blockbuster shows. They are usually solid, but when they are hot, you can't beat them. Nitro had a decent show, but RAW still pounded them in the ratings. If I was Nitro, I'd read this week's spoiler results for RAW and plan their show ahead of time. But hey, that's just what I think. Damn, Nitro did get good ratings at the end. Maybe Hulkamania is drawing interest. We'll keep an eye on this for a few weeks before I eat my words about Hogan.

WCW

-Hey, no hummer driver on Nitro! Geesh, that's a promise that wasn't made. Well, in reality WCW is STILL unsure on who the individual would be. That's right. They are trying to find someone other than Luger because they noticed that it was kinda predictable. Some say it would have been originally Hogan, but he's beginning to get over again with the fans (ARGH!!). WCW would like Scott Steiner to be the hummer driver, but he's still suffering from his shoulder injury and it's very uncertain if he'll ever come back. Hey, like I said before, it will probably end up being Sid just like it was for Nash's "mystery tag partner".

-Poor Flair. In Calvin's hotline report, it stated that Ric Flair is beginning to suffer from arthritis. That's kinda sad as it's catching up to him from the plane accident a while back which injured his back. Now, I will say that I'm not a Ric Flair fan, but it is sad to see the wrestler you've loved to hate in such pain. Like reported earlier, he's taking the rest of the summer off to rest and take a break from the strain of wrestling. No matter what though, I'm sure you'll see the Nature Boy back in action, because he just can't get enough.

-Well, now the World Title Match with Kevin Nash and 'Hulk' Hogan is now a retirement match. Many predict that on again and off again Scott Hall will interfere to cause a DQ so that nobody retires. I say no. Scott Hall seems like he'll never return. I say Kevin Nash will lose, since he'll never "one up" Hogan in WCW, plus Nash needs his precious time off (that baby). Plus, I think WCW is really trying to make Hulkamania rule again, so a win against Nash would serve that purpose. Also, don't think Hogan is considering retirement! He's been like that before!

WWF

-Whoa, the Main Event, the ICON, the Showstopper, the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Micheals as a sportscaster in San Antonio? Wow. I'm impressed. I don't really think he has any college degrees in communication or anything, nor does he have the experience. It shows how much he's loved down there. Speaking of Shawn, many are wondering of he'll ever have an current role with the WWF, instead of his coming and going. It's highly unlikely, because the WWF feels bad for Shawn, and since they have always given him his way, they are giving it to him now. But hey, he got injured wrestling, so he should get payed for barely doing anything.

-Yes! At this upcoming Monday Night RAW, reported by Lucas, Mankind will make his return! That's great news, as everyone has been awaiting Mick's return for a long time now. I saw him on MTV Week, which was rather strange, and he was kinda crazy. It makes me wonder how he'll return. He could be in the main event at Summerslam since Stone Cold's knee injury is more serious than one thought. It's hard to tell what the WWF will do, but I'm sure he'll rekindle his feud with Triple H somewhere down the line.
